Hello all I am here with Shera P. Shera P hand pours crayon lipstick! We are so excited to be doing this interview with you today!

  1. Can you tell us how you got started? I was recreating some of my favorite lipstick shades for myself and my boyfriend suggested selling them. I was very reluctant, but figured ‘what the heck – just go for it’. So I did. And I’m glad I did because I really enjoy coming up with new colors and methodically hand pouring each tube. It’s kinda relaxing.
  2. What ingredients do use to make the lipsticks? I use nontoxic crayons for pigment, castor oil and cocoa butter for moisture, and sometimes an organic essential oil for fragrance.
  3. What colors do they come in? Right now, I’m offering a red, pink, nude, orange, 2 purples, and black. But I’m currently developing some neons as well as colors with sparkles in them.
  4. What inspired you to make your own lipsticks? Funny story. Someone gave me a set of NARS lip colors for my birthday and I absolutely LOVED them all so much. When I used them all up, I couldn't find the colors that I’d fallen in love with so I began to research how to make my own from common items. Once I discovered that I could use crayons, all of my dreams came true because I could then not only re-create my favorite colors, but I could also develop more colors to add to my collection.

    1. When did you begin making lipsticks? I started about a month ago and things just took off. Now I sell online, in person, and at craft fairs.
    2. Do you have any make-up tips? Yes! Always, always, always experiment. You never know what you’ll discover when trying something new – be it a new method, a new color, or a new product. You may find something that you can’t believe you ever lived without!
    3. Where can we go online to purchase your lipsticks?  Come by and take a look, say hi, & be inspired!

Thank you so much for this interview, I wish you great luck with your business and thank you again.

For any online business, you should have a blog. This is a must-have! If you do not know how to blog hire someone to do it for you. Blogging brings traffic to your business. It teaches people about your business and your products.

If you are a new blogger it takes at least 6 months to get on the first couple of pages of Google and that is only if you are constantly working on your blog or website.

One of the most important things on your blog is the title. Make sure you have a catchy title that explains exactly what the article is about. Your title shows up in a google search. It is the first thing a potential customer will see, so make sure you are writing about something they want and need.

Description meta tag. This is a small description of your article. It will show up in your google search. So your title and a small snippet of the beginning of the article will show up in a google search. Make sure you write an accurate description of yo…

I know, I know.....another marketing plan. Here we go again. Why so many? Well if you are building a business and want to be successful you will need a marketing plan for all of your social media accounts. You want to connect, connect, connect. We did some research on Linkedin and here is a simple plan that my team and I put together for you.

Connections- Do you only connect with people that may be interested in your service or product? Well, we would usually tell you to make sure you only connect with those people, but here on Linkedin we do not follow that theory, here's why. Linkedin is more of a connection one on one place so if that person is not interested in what you are selling there maybe someone that they are following or one of there followers that may be interested in your service or product so make sure you connect with anyone and everyone no limit. Usually, the connections that you get are related to who you are following anyway so you will mos…
